Olga Lucía Hurtado, the pictorial investigation in her work has been a constant search, to re-signify the landscape through matter. Thanks to oil and watercolor paintings, nature and its strength become an aesthetic object mediated by her sensitivity, love, and respect for nature, which she interprets through compositions of vigorous plans, firm, gestural, and entirely emotional strokes. Space is conceived as a totality where impulse and color vibrate, the paintings lead us to a world of lights, shadows, strokes, and textures.
The work of art Geo Grafía Candente 3 is part of a series of oil paintings that reflect on the impact the landscape receives from environmental pollution. Olga Lucía Hurtado Gómez is a Chemical Engineer from Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Manizales and has a Master’s Degree in Design and Interactive Creation from Universidad de Caldas.
She is currently participating in Pinceladas-Arte con Proyección, a virtual exhibition created to fund a social cause which helps Colombian Families in need. More info in https://artspaces.kunstmatrix.com/en/exhibition/2439830/pinceladas-arte-con-proyecci%C3%B3n
