Paraguayan artist and poet. Initially self-taught, he studied architecture at the University of Asuncion and art in Madrid and Paris. Colombino’s work centered on urban and architectural. His first works emerged in the 1950s in the form of xylo-paintings and woodcuts on wood with great expressiveness. During the 1960s he criticized estronismo with works such as Los Generales, Cardinal, and Los Capangas, which earned him the Grand Prize of the biennial de Quito in 1968. His extensive plastic work includes engravings, paintings and sculptures.
