Color, action, and space
Diego´s action painting style with the intention of representation reflects the spirit of life of needs that shapes to cultivate the color break form. His action painting, direct, instinctual, and highly dynamic art involves the spontaneous application of vigorous, sweeping brushstrokes and the chance effects of dripping and spilling paint onto the canvas personal expression frees all traditional aesthetic social values and shows visible signs of the artist’s working process.
That passion is equally reflected in the content of depth, lights, color and shadows, woven textures “Maja Contemporanea”. The message invites to have a dialog with the intensity
of feeling and involvement. The visible brush strokes and thickly applied pigmentvertical lines that punctuate the painted field of the background to serve the dual function.
Visual stimulations that Diego executes on the canvas, as well as the superimposition of spots and dripping, which is where the mastery and magic of his work lies. Industrial paints, enamel, lacquer, and etching ink glazes from the layers and the mixture of the color that they generate. The process is repeated severaltimes, and subtracts the material from the painting to generate lights and shadows.
Diego Sierra Enciso, a Colombia artist, studied Plastic Arts, showed his tendency for Abstract Art, goldsmithing, silverware, sculpture, and ceramics, a compendium that has allowed him over the years to set his imagination soaring. Exhibited in Colombia, Argentina, Italy, and Venezuela.
