SONG TO THE TRIBES –
Magali Reales is a Colombian contemporary artist that experiments with the different possibilities of the object-viewer relationship. Thus, movement plays a significant role in supporting her light and color techniques. In addition to movement, she uses music to strengthen the exploration of the senses in her messages. Her work also includes painting, photography and filming on canvas.
“Song to the tribes”, the Kogi a native tribe living in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia. Musicians play flutes—made out of a plant called Bukunkuisicon—until dawn. At one point, One can experience the most astounding synesthesia: their music provokes vivid adaptation of vegetation and water, a kind of matrix of green patterns and crystalline streams where one can figure out infinite forms, mutated constantly into other elements.

Magali has more than 27 solo and group exhibitions, live performance actions, videos and installations in some parts of the world She has exhibited national and worldwide, in Colombia, Belgium, Spain, Poland, France and Amsterdam.
