“Genèse” – Acrylic on canvas -40x 50 cmts
Lorena Khelladi born in Mexico is a French-Mexican, she is an international plastic/visual artist. Her works have been exhibited in Mexico, France, Italy, Irland, Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Belgium and art fairs and museums. “Genèse”, an abstract composition with a very dynamic play of color, light and movement. At first glance, two main focal points can be distinguished: the warm tones (intense reds and oranges) on the left side and the lighter brushstrokes (pinks and whites) towards the center right area. Between the two, there seems to be a transition that mixes purple and blue tones, which gives the sensation of a dialogue between warmth and coldness, or even an interaction of opposing energies.
The brushstrokes appear fluid and energetic, reinforcing the atmosphere of movement. There are brushstrokes that curve and blur, suggesting a continuous flow or displacement of energy. The main contrast is in the central area, where the light color (pinkish white) stands out against the darker background, creating a focus of light that can be interpreted as a center of attention, almost as if there were an emanation or explosion of luminosity.
As a whole, the work feels very emotional and energetic, with a balance between chromatic intensity and the calm of the softer areas. It provokes curiosity and incites reflection on the nature of color and movement, qualities highly appreciated in abstract painting.
