A Historic First for a New Generation of Colombian Artists

At just twenty-something, María Esther Panesso Mercado is stepping into history. This fall, beneath the golden lights of Paris Art Week, her name will be etched alongside legends. Between October 28 and November 2, the young Colombian painter will become the third Colombian artist to exhibit at the prestigious Salon d'Automne, a landmark art fair that has shaped global art movements for over 122 years.

Picasso. Matisse. Modigliani. These were the dreamers who once filled these same halls with color and defiance. Now, it's Panesso's turn to walk among them.
